Adobe LiveCycle Designer helps you easily author form and document templates that combine high-fidelity dynamic presentation with sophisticated XML data handling. LiveCycle Designer ES4 lets you create form templates that can output to paper, PDF, and HTML5 without having to write scripts. Advanced layout capabilities let you preserve the appearance of imported PDF documents, while spell-check and customizable user dictionaries reduce the chance of errors. Adobe LiveCycle ES4 Server is an enterprise document and form platform. LiveCycle ES4 helps you capture and process information, deliver personalized communications, and protect and track sensitive information. It also extends business processes to your mobile workforce and clients, increasing productivity while broadening service access to any user equipped with a desktop or laptop computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Adobe Forms & Databases

This course is a 2-day instructor-led workshop. You will realize many benefits by integrating your Adobe forms with your databases. This course shows how to integrate many different form types (AEM, HTML, LiveCycle XFA, and PDF) with many different databases (MS SQL Server, MS Access, and Oracle). In addition to learning concepts and theory about data, students will complete an exercise for each topic and these exercises will build on each other to create a complete application. You will learn how to prefill a form with data from a database query and a stored procedure. You will also learn how to process data and attachments from a form submission to a database and content management system.

LiveCycle Administration Training

LiveCycle Designer Specialist

This is an advanced, three-day, instructor-led workshop designed for developers who are familiar with design environments and wish to create dynamic PDF templates. The workshop focuses on creating complex, dynamic PDFs using LiveCycle Designer and is geared towards developers who build front-end applications and forms. Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and exercises, you will develop a dynamic form template that utilizes some of the more advanced features of creating dynamic forms. Over the course of the first two days, you will build a dynamic account information form. Topics covered include working with multiple master pages, scripting, subform containers, floating fields and Designer's dynamic properties. On the third day, there is a self-paced lab where you will build a solution that meets a specific set of requirements. The instructor will assess the solution you build. The workshop uses Adobe LiveCycle Designer and may use LiveCycle Workbench, which is the integrated development environment (IDE) for creating LiveCycle applications. Most of the workshop is spent in the Designer environment.

Developing a LiveCycle ES4 Application

This workshop is designed as an introduction to LiveCycle ES4. In addition to providing you with theory about LiveCycle features, a large segment of the training is devoted to hands-on exercises as well as demonstrations. For each lesson, we will start with an activity to introduce you to some of the concepts that will be covered in the lesson. We will then cover the content of the lessons using a combination of lectures and demonstrations. We will finish off each lesson with an exercise where you can put into practice the functionality covered in the lesson. The exercises are divided into tasks and build upon each other to complete an example 'New Employee Hire' solution. In addition to the core tasks for the exercises, there are optional tasks that add extra functionality to the final process. To complete this workshop, there is a self-paced lab that consists of a set of requirements from which you must create your own end-to-end solution that implements the functionality covered during this workshop. The workshop uses Adobe LiveCycle Workbench ES4, which is the integrated development environment (IDE) for creating LiveCycle applications. As well, you will also be introduced to the Admin User Interface and the LiveCycle ES4 modules that provide the document/form centric functionality.

This class will feature the new LiveCycle ES4 features including the new HTML forms capabilities and the new HTML Workspace application. As a SmartDoc bonus, you will also see a demonstration of a customized version of the LiveCycle Workspace mobile app on an Apple iPad. This app enables your field workers to take their forms and tasks with them on an Apple iPad. Your field workers can complete LiveCycle HTML forms and workflow tasks even when they are disconnected from the Internet.

LiveCycle ES4 Process Management Specialist

This workshop focuses on some of the more advanced features of automating a user-centric process with Adobe LiveCycle ES4. The first two days consist of lectures and demonstrations combined with a series of exercises that build towards creating a multi-user clinical trial review process. Topics covered include dynamically assigning tasks to users, parallel routing, handling data, handling attachments, using events, participating in a process via email, and task permissions. On the third day there is a self-paced lab. During this lab, you will build a solution that meets a specific set of requirements. The workshop uses Adobe LiveCycle Workbench ES4, which is the integrated development environment (IDE) for creating LiveCycle ES4 applications. You will also spend time testing your application in the new HTML version of Adobe LiveCycle Workspace.

This class will feature the new LiveCycle ES4 features including the new HTML forms capabilities and the new HTML Workspace application. As a SmartDoc bonus, you will also see a demonstration of a customized version of the LiveCycle Workspace mobile app on an Apple iPad. This app enables your field workers to take their forms and tasks with them on an Apple iPad. LiveCycle: Introduction to Rights Management

In addition to providing you with theory about LiveCycle Rights Management features, a large segment of the training is devoted to hands-on exercises as well as demonstrations. For each lesson, we will start with an activity to introduce you to some of the concepts that will be covered in the lesson. We will then cover the content of the lessons using a combination of lectures and demonstrations. We will finish off each lesson with an exercise where you can put into practice the functionality covered in the lesson. The exercises are divided into tasks and build upon each other to configure Rights Management, create policy sets and policies, and to apply these policies using Adobe Acrobat and an automated process to protect documents.

LiveCycle: Document Output Specialist

This workshop focuses on building LiveCycle applications using the PDF Generator and Output modules. Day one consists of lectures and demonstrations combined with a series of exercises that focus on PDF Generator and Assembler. During this day, you will build an archiving solution. Day two follows the same pattern with the focus on Output and you will create a print-on-demand solution as well as a LiveCycle custom component. Topics covered include converting files to PDF and PDF/A, working with XPath functions, creating DDX files, dynamically building portfolios and documents, designing forms for batch printing, using the XDC editor and creating a custom component for LiveCycle. On the third day there is a self-paced lab. During this lab, you will build a solution that meets a specific set of requirements. The workshop uses Adobe LiveCycle Workbench, which is the integrated development environment (IDE) for creating LiveCycle applications. As well, you will use Document Builder, Designer and Eclipse to build DDX files, templates and custom components.
